One of the main aims of the CareerGUIDE network is to promote Comenius European Cooperation in school Education.

COMENIUS action focuses on the first phase of education, from pre-school and primary to secondary school, and it is addressed to all members of the education community in the broad sense – pupils, teachers, other education staff, but also local authorities, parents? associations, non-government organisations.

COMENIUS supports school partnerships, projects for the training of school education staff, and school education networks. COMENIUS also emphasises certain important issues such as learning in a multi-cultural framework, which is the cornerstone of European citizenship, support for disadvantaged groups, countering under-achievement at school and preventing exclusion.

The objectives of Comenius are to enhance the quality and reinforce the European dimension of school education, in particular by encouraging transnational cooperation between schools and contributing to improved professional development of staff directly involved in the school education sector, and to promote the learning of languages and intercultural awareness.

Comenius Activities

Comenius is divided into three actions:

Comenius 1: school partnerships
Comenius 2: training of teachers and other school education staff
Comenius 3: development of the networks

CareerGUIDE contributing to the networking and collaboration of European Projects, gathers and presents examples of Good Practice in the Comenius Action and supports the panning of new projects in the thematic area of Career Guidance.

Members of CareerGUIDE network, after their free registration, can easily (through an on-line form) present their project or discuss on ideas concerning new projects in the field.
